ANALYSIS OF REFUTING OF SOCIAL AND RACIAL DISCRIMINATION OF OUR FELLOW AFRICANS IN CHINA —– MY OPINION

AfricaMyStory Challenge: Article 1

The Zambian Ambassador to the people’s Republic of China, yesterday issued a statement refuting social media reports that Africans have been evicted from their hotels, hostels and houses and left sleeping outside. According to the Ambassador, he said no Zambian is affected in the social discrimination currently happening in that country more especially in the Guangzhou territory, an area reserved for African residents who have gone to that country for education, visitation and to pursue business ventures as well as employment.

In first place, we understand that there are no more Africa apart from the Africa, Zambia, Algeria, Tanzania, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa and all other African countries belongs to. As much as he represents this Country there just like other African countries, we are all African Ambassadors to that country. Whatever that happens to your fellow African would happen to you. We have had situations where our fellow Zambian brothers and sisters lodging complaints regarding their livelihood to our embassy their complaints were not attended to, which is a sign enough that he can’t substantiate that our Zambian brothers and sisters are solely safe. We have a saying in Zambian culture which says “icili pamunobe lelo, ecikaba Pali iwe mailo”, literally translated as ” whatever has befallen your friend today will upon you tomorrow”. Egocentrism has stolen our patriotism and eroded Pan-Africanism spirit. Africans who has bewitched us? People who are rich today because of us have turned against us and we keep on clapping for them. It’s really disheartening and disturbing. These people without our natural resources would not have been able to get where they are and our leaders fold their hands in their comfort Zone pretending not to have heard anything. Oh mama Africa cry for your children who are exploited day in day out. African leaders, please, please, its not every action that cause for praise from your colonial bosses for lack of a better term. We are being loaned out of our own resources instead of us loaning them. Don’t think we don’t have capacity to do the great things for our Countries and our continent at large. We only lack GALLANT LEADERSHIP in Africa and unity of purpose. Wake up from your comfort zones, don’t boast things are okay in African countries or you have done much. We have more than what it takes to become like Europe in no time but the problem each African countries is lacking if not limited to LEADERSHIP is UNITY OF PURPOSE amongst African leaders.

Speaking the TRUTH by DENOUNCING not SOCIAL discrimination as you are calling it but with frank talk ” I personally call it RACIAL DISCRIMINATION. As a Pan-Africanist, I condemn the happenings in China against our fellow Africans with the STRONGEST TERMS possible. No two ways about it. Let’s claim our identity.
