GPAN Member Registration Guidelines

A duly completed Application form should be accompanied with Copies of National ID or Passport, Payment for membership type chosen and two Passport sized Photographs. Completed Applications should be scanned and emailed to us at: globalpanafricanismnetwork@gmail.com Registered members will be expected to attend Pan African events in their respective chapters.

Each member will be awarded a Global Unique Identifier that will appear on his or her membership card.

* Applicants applying must be of African descent (African Diaspora) or nationality
GPAN MEMBERSHIP TYPES:

Membership:
There are eight main types of memberships which are subject to annual or biannual renewals:
1. Student Membership: Student Membership is non-voting, but as members, students can submit ideas & business plans participate in all initiative reviews and participate fully in all Membership Meetings and Initiatives. This provides a unique opportunity for students to develop their careers and work as interns in the organization.
Student membership is for the students of the Center of Excellence, Institutional Members, Professional bodies, universities, research institutes, and other organization as defined by the Pan African Assembly.
Submission of valid students Identity Card is mandatory for this Membership.
2. Individual Membership:
Individual Membership is with voting rights and is entitled to hold office and contest election for the office bearers of the Chapters,Pan African Assembly, Executive Council and committees. As members, individual can submit ideas & business plans,take part in all organization events and participate fully in all Membership Meetings and Initiatives. Apart from unique advantage to network with the other stack holders of the foundation and eligible for special offers and benefits offered by the foundation or partnering organizations as per the category of Individual Membership.
Individual membership is a paid membership and of three categories viz.Diamond,Gold & Silver for the individual from Academia & Industry like Educational Institutions, Universities, Research institutes, Corporate Houses, Self Employed, Professional bodies & Non Government organizations and other organization types as defined by the Pan African Assembly.
3. Pan African group Membership
This is open to all registered Pan African groups.
This refers to groups that represent various interest groups for example youth,women or disability.
Membership can submit ideas,proposals or business plans for consideration, sponsorship or implementation in partnership with GPAN.
Each Pan African group will appoint a delegate to represent it in annual GPAN Summits.
Groups have voting rights and their members are entitled to hold office and contest election for the office bearers of the Chapters and committees.
Each group membership will also have a voting representative member on the GPAN chapter executive council.
This is paid membership.
4. Organization Membership:
Organization Membership are commercial or non commercial organizations that commit working towards innovation, capacity building ,entrepreneurship skills and social accountability for their internal development initiatives and/or act strategically building initiatives, products and services, or with,Globa Pan Africanism Network. These organizations want to participate and influence in the development of the Corporate Social Initiatives.
This is a paid membership.
Nominees of Organization Members have voting rights and are entitled to hold office and contest election for the office bearers of the Chapters and committees.
As members, representatives can submit ideas & business plans participate in all initiative reviews and participate fully in all Membership Meetings and Initiatives. Apart from unique advantage to network with the other stack holders of the organization and eligible for special offers and benefits offered by the foundation or partnering organizations.
Each Organization member will also have a voting representative member on the Chapter Governing Body (Type of Chapter will depend on their geographical area of participation) allowing them direct influence over the strategic direction and influence over the themes and priorities of the Chapter initiatives and programs. Organization Members have access to detailed intellectual property data and policies to foster further trust and use for starting and participating in projects and working groups relevant to their industries with a goal to improve productivity.
5. Education Institution Membership:
Education Institution Membership are educational societies, universities, professional bodies and research institutes that commit towards fostering innovation,education,entrepreneurship skills and social accountability for their internal development initiatives of their students and/or act strategically building initiatives, products and services, or with,Global Pan Africanism Network.
This is a paid membership.
Nominees of Education Institution Members have voting rights and are entitled to hold office and contest election for the office bearers of the Chapters and committees. As members, representatives can submit ideas & business plans participate in all initiative reviews and participate fully in all Membership Meetings and Initiatives. Apart from unique advantage to network with the other stack holders of the foundation and eligible for special offers and benefits offered by the foundation or partnering organizations. All the students of the Education Institution Members are eligible for the Associate Membership and its benefits.
Each Education Institution member will also have a voting representative member on the Local Chapter Governing Body allowing them direct influence over the strategic direction and influence over the themes and priorities of the Chapter initiatives and programs. Education Institution member are expected to lead one or more of the initiatives or projects and have representation on the Planning and Development Council. This allows Education Institution members to have direct input into the Planning and Development of the various initiatives and researches.
6. Honorary Membership: revolutionary Pan Africanists both past and present,eminent members of the education profession or persons of high scientific attainment or managerial practices from any country may be nominated as honorary members (if so approved by the Pan African Assembly). Members desirous of proposing such members must send details of the person with contact information to the chairperson of the commission. The total number of honorary membership in a Chapter irrespective of National Affiliating/ Regional or Local shall not exceed 12 at any time. A honorary member will not be entitled to hold office or vote at any meeting.
This Membership is strictly by invitation only.
7. State Membership
This membership is open to states in Africa, Caribbean, North America,South America and Melanesia.
Member states with citizens of black descent will also be considered for membership and will be required to appoint an Ambassador to represent the interests of the black population.
Membership and its benefits:
Each member state will have voting rights at the Pan African Assembly and previliges to appoint a Permanent representative to the Pan African Assembly.
States will be involved in all initiatives started by Global Pan Africanism Network (GPAN) and present their proposals,ideas or projects.
8. Religious organizations Membership: This membership is open to churches or religious affiliated organizations.

 

GPAN Membership Fees:

1.Juvenile Membership: This is free membership for children and peak people below 18 years.
2. Student Membership

This Membership is $5/year.

It is preserved for students who are not in any gainful employment.

3. Individual membership

This membership is divided into three categories:

(a) Silver Membership- $10/year

(b) Gold membership: $20/year

(c) Diamond Membership: $50/year

4. Pan African Groups.

(a) Membership fee will be $50/year.
To qualify for this membership the group must be registered with Social service.
5.Organization membership

(a) Membership fee is $100/year subject to renewals annually.

6.Education Institution membership

(a) Membership fee is $100 subject to annual renewals.
7. Honorary Membership

This is free membership and only selected persons are awarded this membership.

(8) State membership

(a) Membership fee for a state in Africa, Caribbean, Melanesia, Latin America or Caribbean will be $500 and subject to renewals annually.

(b) Developed Nations membership fee will be $1,000 renewable annually.

(9) Religious organizations Membership

(a)Membership fee is $50 renewable annually.
