UK Solidarity: British MP Anneliese Dodds Expresses her serious concern on worrying developments in West Papua.

UK Solidarity: British MP Anneliese Dodds Expresses her serious concern on worrying developments in West Papua.

Indonesia has deployed over 16,000 new security personnel in West Papua in a move  clearly showing its intentions to carry out fresh large scale genocide like it did in 1963  when it invaded West Papua.

This is after 32 people died after Indonesian forces violently responded to peaceful students protests in Wamena and Jayarapura.

Thousands of West Papuans have been displaced in ongoing state sponsored violence against civilians and their houses torched down.

In spite of calls from Humanitarian organizations and emergency alerts issued on the deteriorating situation in West Papua,Indonesia is yet to grant UN Human rights chief permission to visit West Papua and do encounter with the situation on the ground.

Papuan refugees are living in crowded shelters in Papua New Guinea are undergoing a lot of suffering and this is deepening the humanitarian crisis which no one talks about.

The world must respond to end this black genocide which has killed over 500,000 Papuans and more are dying in the hands of brutal Indonesian colonialism every day.

In West Papua 4 out 10 Papuan women have experienced sexual violence in the hands of Indonesian military yet International Criminal Court has not deemed it necessary to indict and charge Indonesia for crimes against humanity.
